# Authentication and headers

Before beginning the booking flow in any environment, we strongly recommend [authenticating](/api/getting-started/authentication) first. This ensures that you receive the correct data based on your partnership agreement.

In addition to authentication, requests will require your [application value](/api/getting-started/headers/application) in the `X-Musement-Application` header. We also recommend to always include the following headers:
